Off to a Great Start

The journey began with the arrival of our friends and travelling companions, Jenny and Steve on Friday night from Adelaide. A couple of drinks, a quick catchup. The morning arrived and so did the in-house massage ladies, Putu and Coco....a 2 hour pampering session followed which included a facial for Jenny and a massage for Steve...a nice start...then off to Chic salon for the girls...new hairdo for Jenny...nice ....and a blow dry for Sharon....back to the villa...packed the sponge bags and off to airport...smooth passage thru the mayhem of Bali airtport and up to the lounge ...we're ready to fly...seems so long ago that we booked this adventure. Boarded the Dreamliner, Business Class is amazing...a Champagne toast and settle down for the 9 hour overnight journey to Doha, capital of Qatar...nice to have the flat bed...couple hours of dozing....arrive Doha 10.40pm...up to the enormous Business Class lounge...to the restaurant a and a very enjoyable meal of lamb chops...pasta for Steve and very welcome cappucino...caffeine levels restored. Found a quiet spot, commandeered 4 sofas and caught some zzzz's for a few hours....woke in time for Steve to set up the computer to watch the Crows flog the West Coast Eagles...the Charlie's are happy campers...maybe a showdown coming up ....Bulldogs vs Crows!,,, that'll throw the cat among the pigeons...could be some early mornings coming up!!...let's eat...maybe a morning champers to celebrate the win....more to come
